Home Electrical Inspections
Mt. Baker Electric
Home Electrical Inspection and Evaluation
Real estate home inspectors often include only a limited evaluation of your electrical system.
Most home inspectors are not licensed electricians.
When Mt. Baker Electric performs a home inspection it includes the following:
  • Throughly evaluate the electrical panel (evaluating the age, condition and load on the breakers, wiring and the panel as a whole)
  • Evaluate electrical devices throughout the house, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures
  • Check attic and crawl spaces for electrical issues including nob and tube wiring, flying splices and damage due to age, rodents, etc.
  • Verify that the grounding and bonding systems are intact
  • Verify that all required areas have proper GFCI protection
  • Verify that breakers are sized in accordance with the National Electrical code
  • Finally, Mt. Baker Electric will provide you with a detailed report identifying electrical issues and outlining the steps you can take to improve your electrical system
A complete electrical home inspection is recommended prior to purchasing a new home.
